A #touchofkind Painting giveaway #2

Hello there my sweet friends,

Today is my birthday!!!

I have so much to appreciate and thought it was the perfect time to share my SECOND PAINTING GIVEAWAY for the #touchofkind project. If you are on my mailing list (hint, hint) or follow my blog, you already know about this project. If not, it’s a wonderful project created by Feather and Wild to promote random acts of kindness while sharing and supporting the work of artisans and independent businesses of all kinds.

If you are an artist, you are asked to simply gift a work of art as a way of paying it forward. If you are not an artist, you can purchase or share a work of art to help promote and foster that artist’s success.

It’s a beautiful exchange.

I love this project so much because it brings awareness to the many makers who truly want to use their gifts to make the world a better place. They put their heart and soul into creating work with that simple intention and promoting them helps sustain their practice.

Maybe a piece of art has touched your heart in some way?

I have so much to appreciate in my life and love being able to “pay it forward” in a way that is truly aligned with my heart.

I have chosen this painting called, “Circle of Trust ”. It’s about trusting the timing of your life and being perfectly okay with where you are in the world~contrasts and all. I used shades of pink because it represents caring, compassion, understanding and unconditional love. It is also associated with giving and receiving which I hope to foster by sharing this project. I am hoping that these colors will bring a little pop of joy into your home.

The painting will come signed, matted and ready to pop into a frame of your choice.

  • Leave a comment in this post or on instagram by midnight on Sept. 5, 2018 expressing what you will do to pay it forward if you win. (You can pay it forward with anything you wish to share; it doesn’t have to be art. This project has branched out in awesomely unexpected ways ).
  • If you felt inspired, share this post to help encourage random acts of kindness (just copy and paste the url and email it to a friend or post on social media).
  • That’s it! 🙂
  • I will randomly select a winner on that day and post the results here as well as on Instagram the following day. *The winner will have to message me their address.
  • The small print is that I must be able to send this to a US address.

I cannot thank you enough for your kindness and being a light in the world!

Cheery Smiles & love your way…xo
Laura 🙂

  1. I hope I win, but plan to do this anyway. Hope is as necessary as breath to life. I plan to take my Mexican river rocks and pen words of encouragement and love on them. Next I will leave them in places I feel signs of hope are neefed. Perhaps they will serve as a foundation of spiritual renewal.

    1. Happy birthday Laura!!!

I hope Gail wins because it sounds like it would make her happy. It would also make for a very good story. Gail tells very good stories and it would make me happy to hear all about the time she won one of your lovely works of art!

Namaste, aloha, and lots of love!

    2. What a great idea! I would love to find one one of your beautiful river rocks Gail! I love the possibility of them being a foundation for spiritual renewal.
Thank you so much for participating! 🙂

  2. Well your art always makes me happy and the happier I am the more joy I spread lol. But just paid it forward sending a bunch of clothes to a family that lost everything in a fire. So many people did things for us after our fire that it’s only right to pay it forward 💜

    1. Tricia that was so sweet of you! Thank you for your kindness, kine words and participation in the project! 🙂 🙂 🙂

  3. I really hope to meet you some day… your heart is so pure.. not only is your work breathtaking, the title alone made me cry.. trusting has always been a hurdle of mine… I make beaded bracelets and plan on doing this anyway as well! Your beautiful ideas inspire me. Thank you! And Happy Birthday Always! ❤️

    1. It would be great to meet you Kimberlee! 🙂 Yes, trusting isn’t always easy and it is an ongoing practice for me as well, but I am building up that “muscle” and it is getting stronger every day. Thank you so much for the Birthday wishes as well as your willingness to put your beautiful bracelets out into the world. I am sure they will be received with great enthusiasm and love. Thank you for being YOU! 🙂

  4. What a beautiful piece…..the colors are happy and made me smile. I am a Aesthetician in Mystic…….I will pay it forward by giving facials to a woman undergoing cancer treatments. It means so much to a woman to be pampered and loved 💖

    1. Thank you so much Elizabeth! What a great gift you can offer. It truly warms my heart. I think giving is often the best reward and I am sure it will mean a lot to her. xo Laura

  5. I love paying things forward. I share my underwater photos with women in the domestic shelters where I lead writing groups. I promise to “award” this way again to encourage those who don’t believe they have a voice, how to write with their inner voice until it becomes loud enough to gain confidence.

Your painting is such an inspiration: Circle of Love further demonstrates my sense of oneness with the world, given the circle of life mostly begins in the ocean.

    Happy birthday. Best wishes!

    1. That is so kind and generous of you and I love how you are teaching them to listen to their inner voice. It is so needed in the world today and often gets drowned out with all the noise. Appreciate your kindness. xo Laura 😉

  6. Laura, your idea to spread a little kindness is a very good thing. Your art is always joy-inducing, with the beautiful color and pattern you use. As for paying it forward – I like to play it by ear and act on a more spur of the moment thing, keeping an eye out for an opportunity to do something nice and maybe needed. I also believe in supporting local organizations who help in our community.

    1. Thank you SO much Linda! Yes, I agree, sometimes you just get a “feeling” when it is right and just act in the moment and that is a wonderful thing! I appreciate you taking part in this project! xo Laura 🙂
