Affirmation

October 8, 2018

I am letting this affirmation lead me into the week:
.
“I am open to change. I open my heart to new places, new people, and new chapters of my life.”
.
Sending you a week filled with openness and reverence for where you are in this very moment.

Studio Organization

October 8, 2018

I have been going through EVERYTHING in my studio since my move and only keeping what’s essential. It feels SO good!
.
I just went through and organized all my paintbrushes, downgrading worn brushes to “glue brushes” and upgrading brushes for my private art lessons. I have SO many brushes I have acquired over the years, yet like my shoes I always seem to gravitate towards the same ones. Does that happen to you?
.
I recently gave a preview of my new studio, along with the VISION I have for it over on the blog. Take a peek here.

Things that make me smile

October 12, 2018

I have a string of little butterflies hanging in my studio that make me smile every time I see them, especially on gray, rainy days like today. It’s often the littlest things that bring joy to our hearts, isn’t it? Do you have anything in your home, workspace or studio that makes you smile when you see it? Share with me… 🙂

Seascape Painting

October 13, 2018

“Nature always wears the colors of the spirit.” ~Ralph Waldo Emerson
.
“Over the Dunes” is an original painting inspired by the many walks I take at the beach. There is a time late in the season when the air takes on a crispness. The skies become intense, fleeting and delicious. You savor every one of them knowing that change is coming.
