Intention

In a world that’s constantly in motion, the “Shifting Skies” collection is an invitation for you to pause, breathe, and immerse yourself in the art of being present. Each painting is meant to capture the breathtaking allure of a sunset or sunset, encouraging you to revel in the splendor of the moment.

Gathering Inspiration

I find solace in the whispers of nature waking up and the transition from darkness to daylight which are like little moments of quiet serenity before the world begins to stir.

As evening approaches I try to soak in the kaleidoscope of fiery oranges, passionate reds, and serene violets. They are like a symphony of colors bidding farewell to the day. It's in these moments of transition, where the sun kisses the horizon, that I discover a canvas of endless inspiration.

I’ve been watching these transitions of color over the past few months, photographing them, and then allowing time in the studio to let it all seep in.

Every day is different and fills me with awe as I am reminded that I am part of something bigger than myself that I don’t fully understand.

Creative Process

I used watercolor for its fluid qualities that are spontaneous and free, qualities that I try to embody within myself. I layered in iridescent paints and flecks of gold to add a little sparkle and reflect a little light into the world.

I chose to paint these small because I love to gift intimate, sentimental items and thought these would make a lovely gift for a friend, a couple, or yourself! They look great displayed just about anywhere; a nook, on the wall, in a grouping, or over a vase, or a bottle.
