New Collection in the works!
My watercolor collection is coming along nicely. I can't wait for you to see it! The paintings are inspired by the beach and the idea of "escapism," something I originally learned from going to so many Jimmy Buffett concerts over the years. When I first heard his music I had never seen the Caribbean ocean, yet his songs and easy going lyrics about the island life transported me there. To this day they remind me not to take life too seriously.
Life is meant to be FUN!
Right now I have all the paintings hung up in the studio so I can sit with them and see which ones are the strongest and will make it into the shop. I’ve learned a lot, both technically and personally from each painting.
I allowed myself to be open and free with the paint and challenged myself to focus on how I was feeling each time I painted. They have become very meditative for me and give me the same peaceful feeling I had when I was on vacation in Aruba.
