new perspectives & quirky little bird paintings

This summer I had an unusual amount of birds hanging out with me in my garden. The morning doves would woo me with their soft coos as I drank my coffee, the cardinals added pops of color with their fierce red feathers, and the wrens, orioles and finches fluttered about adding a special energy to the garden. I have learned that birds represent freedom and inspiration. They are also symbols of travel. Not just physical travel, but travel within the mind and spirit. 

Birds have the ability to fly wherever the wind takes them. They are able to see things from a much wider perspective than we can. I think it's good to be reminded of this every now and then. Sometimes we forget what is beyond our sight and there is such a big, wondrous world out there!

Lightworkers tell us that birds are are messengers of the Gods or a higher consciousness who provide humans with a bridge between the mundane and spiritual life. Although it might sound a little "woo woo" I like the idea of this.
