What does your favorite mug say about you?
How do you like to start your day? If you're anything like me you appreciate the simple pleasure of coffee in the morning. It makes getting out of bed and leaving my snuggly kitties a little easier.
Picking out a pretty mug is the first creative thing I do everyday.
Do you have a favorite mug?
What does it look like? Is it plain or patterned? Fancy? Colored or neutral? Does the handle cradle your fingers just right? Is there a funny or inspiring saying on it? Maybe you always have a disposable cup because you are always on the go.Mugs can say a lot about a person.
I have had many well loved mugs over the years but will never forget my very first one. My mom painted it for me when I was around 7 years old. It had a little girl on the front with a long green dress, white apron and a matching bonnet that resembled Holly Hobbie. It was kept along with my sister's mugs in our hutch and brought out on snowy days when we were treated to hot chocolate and something heavenly my mom was baking.
I felt wrapped in love.

I believe objects hold meaning and memories for us. This is why we collect and treasure them. They remind us of happy times and make us feel something.
I created these two paintings as a reminder to savor the time spent with family and friends, and to treasure these happy memories. I used bright colors to convey an uplifting, lively conversation~something I always appreciate.
This treasured time is what life's all about, right?
