A Love Letter to the Earth: Celebrating Life’s Beauty + Inspiration
HAPPY EARTH DAY!
As an artist who's deeply connected to the rhythms of the earth, honoring nature isn't just a once-a-year event for me – it's a way of life.
But oh, how I love the energy that fills the air when everyone joins in during this special day!
Can you feel it?
Mother Earth, with her boundless creativity, inspires me year-round. And as the world comes together to celebrate Earth Day, it's a beautiful reminder to practice mindfulness in how we cherish and interact with our planet.
In celebration of our beautiful Earth, I've compiled some lovely things that I hope will inspire you.
Lots of beauty in this roundup!
I add to this blog post every year as I learn new things.
It's FILLED with simple things that I do to live more sustainably. I've included lots of products that I've researched and tested over the years. I'm always open to new ideas so please feel free to hit reply and share your resources with me 😊.
Erin and Chris Benzakein are on a mission to bring more flowers into the world. In 2018, they took a risk by purchasing 24 acres of run-down farmland in order to expand their growing ground and create a living laboratory.
If you love flowers you will LOVE this series!
You can find it on Discovery +, Max, Magnolia Network, or Prime Video
SO INSPIRING!
I think I've shared this documentary before but wanted to highlight it again as it's truly worth watching.
The film documents a couple's decade-long attempt at building one of the most diverse farms of its kind that works in complete coexistence with nature.
Not only is it unbelievably beautifully filmed it breathes JOY, hope, and inspiration to our world and will leave you feeling SO good! You can find it on MAX or purchase it for a nominal fee (totally worth it).
This is an incredibly beautiful, creative and inspiring Netflix film that highlights the filmmaker's journey as he forms an unusual friendship with an octopus living in a South African kelp forest.
He learns as the animal shares the mysteries of her world. The film shows us how connected we are to EVERY LIVING THING on the planet.
It's amazing that a creature like an octopus, and a wild one at that, can show such trust in a human.
MESMERIZING & Beautifully filmed
A few months back I shared The Earthing Movie which I found fascinating!
I mentioned that I ordered the grounding mats to help relieve the inflammation and pain in my body from Osteoarthritis and Menopause. I have to say after using them for the past few months I DEFINITELY notice a difference in my pain level from when I use them and when I don't.
I love them so much I ordered several mats and have one in my studio, one in my bed and one I use on the couch when I'm watching TV. I also have their grounding sneakers and sandals which I just started testing out.
I'm looking forward to beach days where I can just put my toes in the sand to ground but until then these are working great! 🌴
Right now they are having an incredible Earth Day Sale. I think the Universal mat would be a good one to start with if you are as inspired as me. You get 4 for the price of one. They've always gifted me a free book and magazine with every purchase which was so nice. It's a really lovely company that believes in their mission (and no, I'm not an affiliate) 😊
Bring a little Nature into your home!
