Poetry of the Day
12 x 12-inch Acrylic Painting
"Poetry of the Day" was inspired by the calming effects of the ocean. Being near, in, on, or under water is known to make us happier, healthier, and more relaxed, both mentally and physically. I wanted the colors to be soothing yet playful and fun like a day at the beach with friends.
This a mixed-media painting, embellished with hand-carved stamps and a found poem cut out of an old book.
The Poem Reads:
"Mother Nature's brilliant display of color,
Brighter than the poetry of the senses.
Joyful simplicities to nourish body and soul by engaging our senses,
the highest reflection of your soul,
quiet, reflective, positive."
Medium: Acrylic on birchwood panel
Details:
This piece measures 12” x 12” and is 1 1/2” deep, the sides are painted to match and are hand stamped with vintage text. Each piece has been hand-painted with a protective UV varnish. It comes wired and ready to hang.
