Spring’s Beauty in Bloom: National Gardening Day Edition

Happy Spring!

Happy National Gardening Day

National Gardening Day was created to encourage gardeners and would-be gardeners to pick a shovel, plant some seeds, and kick off a beautiful year of homegrown goodness.

For this month's “Beauty in Bloom” I put together some lovely things to welcome spring ~ I've included ideas for celebrating National Gardening Day, planting tips, some delicious recipes, and this month's featured art.

Enjoy!

This blog post is filled with ideas for welcoming the new season. It was written with so much thought and love for this beautiful season.

Learn about the history of National Gardening Day (fascinating) along with some activities to help you celebrate.

This is a short video from gardening guru Danny Watson who shares stress-free planting and easy spring blooms. I usually get pansies this time of year and generally wait until Mother's Day to do most of my potted plants due to the changing temperatures. Make sure you check the zone that you live in before planting.

I made this yummy galette for Easter and it was super easy, delicious, and versatile. I used a pre-bought pie dough as I was traveling but would love to try the homemade crust.

Simple, pretty salad with a homemade dressing.

 “Singing in the Rain”

“Singing in the Rain” was painted to remind you that there is always light after dark, rainy days. The umbrellas symbolize resilience and hope, reminding you to weather life's storms with grace and strength. The vibrant colors and flowers are meant to be positive and uplifting. May they bring a pop of joy to your walls.

I hope you enjoyed this month’s “Beauty in Bloom.”
